Global Health Corps Paid Fellowship 2020

Global Health Corps is building the next generation of diverse health leaders. We offer a range of paid fellowship roles with health organizations in Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, and Zambia and the opportunity to develop as a transformative leader in the health equity movement. Everyone has a role to play in the health equity movement!

A GHC fellowship is an exciting opportunity to build skills and gain experience with a high-impact health organization, but it’s also much more than that. It’s a year that will catalyze your personal and professional growth as a leader, placing you within a global and diverse network of bright, young, and committed health equity champions. It is – we hope – the beginning of the rest of your career working to transform health systems to deliver for all.

GHC fellows receive a living stipend that varies based on location and placement organization. The annual review of stipends takes into consideration the cost of living, comparable fellowship stipends, and local compensation for full-time employees.
The living stipend may be paid out in USD or local currency, as determined by the placement organization. Stipend amounts are post-tax in your placement country. For international fellows, please check your home country’s tax regulation as it may require you to report on total funds received during the fellowship. The monthly stipend in each country is:
  • Malawi: $650
  • Rwanda: $650
  • Uganda: $550
  • Zambia: $700

  • Global Health Corps only accepts applications from individuals who will be 30 years old or younger by the start of the fellowship.
  • The GHC fellowship is a 13 month commitment, from late June 2020 through the end of July 2021.
  • Applicants must be able to commit to the entire fellowship period from the first day of Training Institute to the last day of the the End of Year Retreat. Please do not apply if you are not available for the full duration of the fellowship year.
Application Deadline: 15 January, 2020.
